Battle of the Bluffs, a two-day bicycling event for all ages and abilities that takes riders up scenic bluffs and atop see-forever ridges along the Wisconsin and Minnesota sides of the Mississippi River. The Majestic Metric, on Saturday, June 27, winds through the hills and farmland of Holmen and Mindoro outside of La Crosse on the Wisconsin side of the river. The Apple Blossom Tour, on Sunday, June 28, starts in the Minnesota river town of La Crescent and features stop-and-pull-over views of the Mississippi. - We call it the Battle of the Bluffs, and you'll call it the biggest challenge you ever took on a bike!!

Participants of the Battle of the Bluffs choose to ride in both tours (pick a ride for each day), once completed you will walk away with a piece of the ridge that you rode that weekend, are you up to the challenge?

The Apple Blossom Tour is a Ride, not a Race...It offers a memorable day of cycling.

The City Ride features a delightful route starting at the La Crescent Community Arena.

There is plenty of parking at the arena, food and restrooms are also available there.

Six routes are available which offer something for everyone.

For your safety -
      • Helmets are required for all riders.
      • Ride single file when traffic approaches.
      • Please observe all traffic laws.

The 5-Mile Family Fun Ride - any age or skill level can experience cycling on the city streets of La Crescent. Bicycle along Elm Street with specifically marked bike lanes and cruise downtown to enjoy a cola or an ice cream cone.

The 16- mile Ride - leaves the arena and heads south out of La Crescent, traveling to Hokah and back using scenic and less traveled back roads.

The 30-Mile Ride - rolling countryside and unspoiled views along Apple Blossom Scenic Byway set the stage for this ride.

NEW The 56-mile Mixed Road - is a combination of paved and gravel roads. Take this tour to see sights you would not normally see from a paved road!

The 60-Mile Ride - traversing some of the same route as the 30-mile ride, you'll shift into high gear for the 60 - mile trek through the rolling hills of Southeastern Minnesota. You'll pass through charming small towns and beautiful farmlands as you cruise along this route.

NEW The 67 mile Tschumper Challenge - Up for a little Challenge? Put your biking skills to the test and with an extra added challenge on to our longest ride yet! You will want to get in a few other rides before taking this one on.
Excellent support, such as route maps, SAG wagons, aid stations and exceptionally well marked roads are what await you for the Apple Blossom Tour.

Choose the course that is right for you. Invite family, friends and co-workers to join you to form a team in the Fight Against Polio. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience.
